I like that Alex knows what he is looking for and seeking ways to go about it. Also that he did not find what he was looking for straight away, that Matt couldn't provide him with what he wanted and that the Handler has boundaries, they are all a way of waiting for Yassen. I liked the glimpses of Yassen's actions and look forward to lesson two.

I really liked this as darker take on Alex's personality. The way that you portray his need to feel threatened and how play acting doesn't do it for him is a really great way of putting a mature spin on the 'death wish' sort of thing that Horowitz has going with him, so it's sort of like canon Alex but for adults.
Kudos, this was beautifully written :)

Another wonderful installment in this series. One of the things I particularly like about these fics is the well illustrated link between the physical reality and the emotional response it brings out in Alex. Very well written.
